We’ll start the weekend’s action as usual with the NRL as Brisbane host St George Illawarra at Suncorp Stadium. The Broncos have lost two in a row and the Dragons have won two in a row but looks can be deceiving when the quality of opposition in those results is taken into account. With Benji Marshall out for the Dragons, Brisbane should have far too much firepower here.
We’re off to the EPL on Saturday where we love the look of Tottenham against Stoke. Spurs were unlucky to go down 1-0 at Old Trafford last week thanks to an own goal but showed plenty of quality along the way. Back on home soil they should be good enough to get the three points here.
Finally it’s a huge clash between title rivals Manchester City and Chelsea to round out the weekend and we’re opting for a low-scoring game despite last week’s results. Chelsea are the masters of “parking the bus” and keeping it tight when playing away against good sides so we can’t see too many goals being scored here.
