WGM’s tip for 19 July: Lin Dan

Having enjoyed a lengthy break following the 2012 Olympic Games, China’s superstar Lin Dan is on his way back having celebrated his first Superseries victory in almost two years when he won the Australian Open last month.

Lin has been making great progress at the Chinese Taipei Open this week too, winning four tough matches on his way to the semi-finals. He came into this event seeded seventh but there is no doubt he will take plenty of stopping as he recaptures his form of old. We’ll take him for the tournament win.
