WGM’s tip for 20 July: Lewis Hamilton

The Formula 1 season heads to Hockenheim in Germany this weekend as the Championship battle between Mercedes duo Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton continues. While the likes of Red Bull and Williams have closed the gap a fraction over the past few races in terms of race speed, it’s hard to see anything but a Mercedes win unless outside factors interfere.

So Hamilton or Rosberg? Although this is Rosberg’s home GP, we’re not convinced that will play too big a factor here. After all, Sebastian Vettel only won his home GP once during his four Championship seasons. Hamilton does boast a fraction more raw speed than Rosberg and having closed the gap to four points last start he’ll be keen to maintain that momentum.
