The World Poker Tour (WPT) has signed a historic five-year deal with US television broadcaster Fox Sports which will see its major events broadcast around the world for the next five seasons, including an additional 13 hours of programming each season.
The deal is an exciting one for Asian fans, with Fox Sports Asia already broadcasting into Macau, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam. The WPT also hosts events in Sanya, China and in Manila each year.
“This unprecedented, five-year deal with FOX Sports elevates WPT into an elite and exclusive group of shows that have aired on television for nineteen seasons,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska.
