And we’re underway! Yep, our favorite time of year has arrived again with the 45th World Series of Poker now underway.
Tuesday saw this year’s series begin with the traditional Casino Employees Event kicking off proceedings, closely followed by one of the flagship events of 2014 – the US$25,000 Mixed Max No Limit Hold’em. The Mixed Max attracted a field of 131 of the world’s best players including the likes of Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, John Juanda, Vanessa Selbst, Sam Trickett, Daniel Cates, Jason Mercier, Faraz Jaka and David Benefield, with the final table to be set later today.
This year’s series features 65 bracelet events, culminating in the big one – the US$10,000 Main Event – from Saturday 5 July.
