Wynn Palace officially opens its doors to the public

Written by Ben Blaschke

Macau’s newest integrated resort, Steve Wynn’s US$4.2 billion Wynn Palace, officially opened its doors to the public last night with a spectacular fountain show on the property’s giant Performance Lake signalling its launch.

At exactly 20:00, the front doors opened as a stream of intrigued visitors began streaming in and around the resort’s almost 20,000 square meters of retail space. Moments earlier they had witnessed the lake’s very first fountain show, with 1,195 water jets shooting water high into the air in two intricately choreographed shows.

Wynn Palace is Macau’s most expensive integrated resort and the third new property to open in Cotai in the last 18 months following Galaxy Phase II – which included the relaunch of Grand Waldo as Broadway Macau – and Studio City.

The opening was attended by Wynn Resorts Chairman and CEO Steve Wynn as well as a number of Macau dignitaries.
