November and December – my favorite time of year in Macau. The heat and humidity has subsided but the colder weather of January and February has yet to make an appearance. November is also the month of the Macao Gaming Show at Venetian Macao (November 18 to 20 this year) and World Gaming will once again have a big presence at the show. Please do come visit our booth!
This time of year is a time for parties and socializing for those of us in Macau’s gaming industry. It’s a great time to enjoy all of what Macau has to offer both indoors and out – and of course play a little at the tables too. But let’s talk about Macau away from the tables. Our cover feature is entitled “Away from the Game”, and discusses the non-gaming aspects of this wonderful adult playground we call Macau. Michelin-starred restaurants, sumptuous hotel rooms, A-list entertainment, some of the world’s highest-end shopping, perfect pampering for the ladies and some incredible sights and sounds – Macau has it all, with much more of it on the way with all the new properties opening in Cotai starting next year.
This year has been a great year for World Gaming but 2015 will be even better. We’ve recently had a number of new appointments both in our senior and middle management and our team has never been stronger. I will let you in on a little secret – there’s method to our madness when it comes to all this new hiring – and all will be revealed in the next issue of WGM!
