A glimpse inside The Parisian Macao

Written by Ben Blaschke

They’re yet to provide a firm opening date, but Sands China this week gave a firm indication that its latest Macau venture – The Parisian Macao – is at least on track for a 2016 launch with a brief teaser of what to expect.

Among the most anticipated of all the new integrated resort openings in Cotai, The Parisian will boast a whopping 2,900 hotel rooms and suites to those who want a taste of France.

The Shoppes at Parisian, which will connect to The Venetian and Shoppes at Four Seasons via linked walkway, will feature more than 150 boutiques of the latest fashion and lifestyle brands in a mall designed to resemble Paris’ Champs Elysees. It will include daily entertainment from French themed Streetmosphere characters including street artists, mimes and buskers.

The pool deck will include a themed water park called Aquaworld, while those who prefer to relax will have a world-class spa – Le SPA’tique – where they can spend a few hours of indulgence.

And there is no doubt that the half-scale Eiffel Tower that already sits waiting at the entrance will soon become an iconic part of the Macau skyline. With observation decks offering views to mainland China as well as unparalleled panoramic views of the Cotai Strip, the tower will feature a gourmet restaurant combining both Eastern and Western culinary traditions.

The Parisian remains scheduled to open sometime in late 2016.
