Adelson, Wynn among Trump inauguration guests

Casino moguls Sheldon Adelson and Steve Wynn were among Donald Trump’s high profile campaign donors and supporters on hand to witness his inauguration as the USA’s 45th President last Friday.

Around a dozen of the 183 seats located on the inauguration platform were allocated to donors, with Las Vegas Sands Chairman and CEO Adelson and Wynn’s Steve Wynn giveb prime positions.

Also present was Carl Icahn, whose interests include the currently closed Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, and owner of Treasure Island in Las Vegas, Phil Ruffin.

Adelson was the largest contributor, giving around US$25 million to Super PACs (Super Action Committees) during the campaign.
