Written by Ben Blaschke

What an incredible way to start the inaugural APT Vietnam. The ribbon had barely been cut at the official launch ceremony at Ho Tram Resort Casino last night before APT Vietnam 2015 began breaking records with the US$150 Ante Up for Charity tournament attracting the biggest field ever for an APT charity event.

A total of 47 buy-ins were achieved in the Ho Tram Poker Room, raising an impressive US$2,350 for Operation Smile Vietnam which helps children born with cleft palates.

Taking part in what proved to be a light-hearted and very well received tournament were the likes of APT CEO Jeff Mann and World Gaming Group CEO Andrew W Scott as well as notable players Sam Razavi, Emmanuel Seal, Ben Abrahams and Iori Yogo.

The prize pool of $4,700 was divided among the top 5 players with a first prize of US$1,870 and it was Rob Kiss emerging victorious to be awarded the trophy. The APT later announced it would round up the money to be donated to Operation Smile Vietnam to US$3,000 while WGG matched that amount to lift the total to US$6,000!
