This is a fascinating game for so many reasons. You have one team at the end of a dynasty and another team desperately trying to start one. I am convinced that the Cats are finished. They are going to get a lot worse before they get better. Essendon supporters, however, are the most deluded of the lot when it comes to evaluating their own team. The Bombers already have the wobbles, so don’t expect much from them when they limp into the finals. I am going to back the Cats at the line here as I believe a grizzled old veteran is better than an overconfident up-and-comer.
