I have a theory when it comes to golf – I’ve always believed that you shouldn’t back the champions of the game the week after a major. A few are still patting themselves on the back after the previous weekend, and the rest are all still annoyed with themselves for not getting the job done when it mattered most. Obviously this doesn’t always happen, but still I like to look for value the week after a major. Japanese young gun Ryo Ishikawa has the game to win a PGA Tournament. Last time we backed him he showed some promise early on, but ended up letting us down in the end. Time to give the kid another chance!
