Mate v Mate … State v State. If you love sport then the State of Origin rugby league series consists of three games of football that you cannot miss. Each game is 80 minutes of blood, guts and passion and is closer to a gladiatorial combat than that of any other team sport. Queensland have dominated over the last five years but I am praying that my beloved Blues can turn it around this year. The Blues have the younger team, but for once I think they have selected the right balance of size, pace and skill. As long as they can overcome their inexperience they will be more than competitive. Blues at the line/handicap seems a good bet to me.
