You might accuse me of throwing good money after bad by backing the Carlton Blues again. To be honest I can’t stand the Blues, but I still think they represent value this weekend.
To keep betting on a sporting team at the handicap is different to continuously betting on a coin toss or an even money chance at the casino. Bookmakers keep on adjusting their lines according to form. Footballers are also human and their performances fluctuate, so eventually Carlton will show some semblance of heart. They will come out all guns blazing against Collingwood in this Friday night blockbuster, so let’s just pray we aren’t left singing the blues after another lackluster Carlton performance.
