Big Jim’s weekend preview

Written by James Potter

As Christmas approaches, there will be fewer sports to watch on the weekends. However, do not distress, we’ll find something in Santa’s sporting sack to keep you entertained.

There’s a full schedule of American football starting with a huge triple-header on Thanksgiving. Other excellent games over the weekend include the 49ers traveling to meet the Saints, and Green Bay taking on the Giants in New York. I reckon the underdogs will get up here.

In the EPL, Chelsea will meet Manchester City on Sunday, which should be a season-defining game. I reckon Chelsea will bring everything they’ve got to this one, and if they win, it’ll make things very interesting at the top of the table. Tottenham vs Hammers should also be a good game with both teams making a late season charge towards Europe.

it was disappointing to see two of the games heavyweights play out a boring draw. Losing a whole day to rain certainly didn’t help. However, the Aussies will take on the Saffers again in the second Test in Adelaide, so let’s hope there’s no rain on the radar. The Adelaide Test match usually provides a perfect test of bat and ball. Everyone is predicting a batsman’s paradise, meaning a draw will start with short odds, so pick a team and get on! I’m going for South Africa since I reckon they’re stronger in every facet.

Good luck and good punting.
