Big Jim's weekend preview

Written by James Potter

Well, this weekend’s specials are the Euro 2012 and Wimbledon final. Most people wish that Euro 2012 would go on forever. I am happy to see the back of it, even though we have tipped plenty of winners. I hoped you guys jumped on Spain when you could still get a good price for them. Sometimes the finals are a disappointment, so let’s hope to see goals and not a championship decided by penalties. When will FIFA address this debacle? It can’t be that hard surely.

Wimbledon will be heading into the third round this weekend, so most of the pretenders have already packed their bags and we are getting down to the serious part of the tournament. Most of the big names have come through unscathed so the tennis will just get better and better. I would like to see Nadal or Federer upset the Joker but it’s going to be tough to get past the Serbian. The women’s draw looks pretty open again, especially with the downfall of the Williams franchise.

There will be plenty of baseball from the US and plenty of rugby, league and AFL to keep everyone entertained. There should be some good bets in the Super 15 as we head towards the finals. Make sure you bet on teams that play with a little spirit over teams that are just going through the motions.

Let’s hope we can have another good month on the punt like we did in June.

Good luck and good punting
