Well, I don’t want to say it but … I told you so! I strongly believed that Chelsea represented huge value in the Champions League final and what do you know – they delivered the goods. Yes, they did win on penalties and, yes, Robben did miss a penalty, but at the end of the day the Londoners lifted the Trophy. Tottenham will be shattered, but I would rather see Chelsea take this spot in the best club competition in the world than Spurs.

The San Antonio Spurs are now the favorites for the NBA Championship and deserve to be. They have just put the Clippers to the knife and will very likely smash the Heat, who are looking vulnerable. The LakersThunder series has been great to watch and I expect this will be a seven game affair. It’s also been good to see the Pacers, who are a great team without a superstar, dishing it up to the Heat.

In a fantastic weekend of Australian Football, Collingwood were lucky to get out of jail against a Geelong team that came home like the proverbial steam train last Friday. I thought the Tigers were going to do the job for us on Saturday night, but even though they had all the momentum and hit the lead late in the game, they are a young outfit and are struggling to put teams away.
