Big Jim's weekend wrap

Written by James Potter

It was another great weekend in the NFL as many teams continued to keep their hopes of playoffs alive. The Vikings, Seahawks and Redskins all recorded impressive victories that is going to the NFC go right down to the wire for positions in the playoffs. The teams that has really snuck under the radar is the Green Bay Packers that recorded an easy victory over the Bears who continue their late season slump. Aaron Rogers is the best quarterback in the competition and with his pin point passing and his ability to run the ball when needed. Only two weeks of the regular season to go and its going to be great to see who actually clinches divisions and the illusive four wild cards.

Both Manchester teams recorded easy 3-1 victories and its looking more likely like a two horse race in the Premiership. Chelsea was over in Japan at the World Club Championship so their game with Southampton was postponed. Queens Park Rangers finally got themselves a much needed win over Fulham but there is still a huge mountain to climb for the Londoners to avoid relegation.

There was plenty of great cricket with Test Matches between England and India and Australia and Sri Lanka getting underway. The other great cricket action is coming from the Australian KFC 20/20 Big Bash which has seen plenty of upsets and some nail biting games coming down to the final over. If you like your cricket played fast and with plenty of action then you will want to find a link for the 20/20 Big Bash as it is fantastic cricket featuring some of the world’s best.

There was also plenty of action from the NBA and the Australian PGA golf which saw young Australian Daniel Popovic hold his nerve and storm to a four shot victory. Rod Pampling pushed the young man all the way until the “Pamp” mentally exploded in the last few holes.
