Big Jim's weekend wrap

Written by James Potter

The highlight of the weekend was the stunning comeback by the Oklahoma City Thunder. When the Spurs went up 2-0 in the NBA West final, it seemed like it was all over for the Thunder. They had to go back home, regroup, and win the next two games. That is exactly what they did. They were brutal in Games 3 and 4, and now that the series is tied up at two games apiece we are in for one hell of a ride. If they can win one game on the road they should be the favorites to progress.

The Celtics also fought well and brought the series against Miami back to 2-1. However, the Heat are the sort of team that need to be scared into action, and expect them to win the series in no more than five or six games.

In the NHL, the LA Kings are now well on track to lift the Stanley Cup. I hope you threw a few dollars on them like I did.

In the French Open, there has been some great tennis without a huge amount of upsets. In the upcoming week the action will really start to heat up.

The big winners in Australian sports were the mighty Tigers, who won a thriller against St Kilda in front of a sellout crowd. The Canterbury Bulldogs showed a lot of heart to stop South Sydney in the rugby, and I hope you got behind the Brumbies who put their incredible season back on track with a win against the Rebels.

There are plenty of great sports on the menu at the moment, and I hope you are backing plenty of winners.

Good luck and good punting.
Big Jim
