In celebration of the 65th National Day of the People’s Republic of China, the China Photo Journalist Society, Hong Kong Federation Journalists, Guangzhou Journalists’ Association, Associação dos Trabalhadores da Imprensa de Macau, and Taipei Newspaper Association jointly organized the “China – In the Eyes of the Press” photo competition. Showcasing outstanding pieces of artwork, the competition aims to feature China’s unique culture and lifestyle through the distinguished professional approach by photojournalists from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

The opening ceremony was held last week at East Square, Galaxy Macau. Receiving an enthusiastic response from the journalists, the competition collected more than 2,000 pieces of art from which 65 outstanding entries were chosen to be on display. The photojournalists, with their professional photography techniques, captured China’s colorful yet serene landscapes through the high quality and diversely contemporary submitted artwork.
