Taylor Swift may be hugely popular in China, but it seems her love life has taken on particular importance with fans now betting on how long the singer’s relationships will last.
According to Xinhua News Agency, online marketplace Taobao is letting users buy “breakup insurance” whereby they bet on how long Swift’s relationship with current boyfriend Tom Hiddleston will last.
Each bet costs 1 yuan and they will double their money if the couple breaks up before an agreed upon length of time. Popular picks have this one lasting less than a year.
Swift recently split with DJ Calvin Harris after 15 months but her six previous relationships only lasted an average two-and-a-half months. Let’s hope this one at least covers the distance!
