Welcome to the 25th issue of WGM! It’s been a very busy time for the World Gaming Group (WGG), with our flagship businesses WGM (the magazine you are reading now) and WGM8.com (our daily news website, now publishing about 40 articles a week) both going through major expansion drives. Our consulting business, World Gaming Consultants (WGC), has also been racking up new clients.
So what’s in the mag this issue? Well, September and October are always exciting months in Macau – the worst of the hot weather is over and we all get to enjoy spectacular fireworks performances throughout selected September evenings leading up to the grand finale on the October 1 National Day holiday. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Macau Fireworks Contest and our Macau Editor Yuci Tai has written a fantastic article that will tell you everything you need to know about this Macau institution. Turn to page 14 and read all about it.
I recently had the honor and privilege of interviewing arguably the most famous boxer in the world – Mr Manny Pacquiao. We talked not only about his boxing life, but his political career – turn to page 28 for more. In this issue we also have my interview with Mr Jay Chun – whose company LT Game has revolutionized the way baccarat is played in Macau. Mr Chun is now organising what he claims will be the biggest gaming show in Macau. You can learn more by turning to page 22.
We also have all the usual content you have come to know and love in WGM – casino tables games, slots, mahjong, football, other sports betting and of course poker. There’s also our regular restaurant review from The Panda and party place column from The Stallion. The WGM Model Search continues and our regular social pages “Out and About in Macau” returns. And much more!
And as always …
Follow the dragon,
