“Aside from us being the usual chill out spot here in Macau, Roadhouse has always been jam-packed with sports fanatics whenever there is an event like the World Cup,” explains General Manager Richard Loughlin.
Founded in 2000 in the NAPE area of Macau, The Roadhouse Macau quickly became one of the trendiest pubs in town, known for its pleasant atmosphere as much as its unique motorcycle-and-blues theme. Now located along the long food street at Broadway Macau – just across the road from Galaxy – you can enjoy the distinctive “Hababaha Burger” along with perfectly poured pints of Guinness, the famed Irish beer beloved by its founders. There are also TV screens around the bar for both music and sports fans.
“What we plan this year for the World Cup is to have two giant TV projectors set outside the pub, so people sitting outside can also join the fun,” Loughlin explained.
The Roundhouse is perhaps most popular for its blues, booze and rock atmosphere, which matches well with the array of classic pub food. We tried their best-selling platter featuring cheese dynamite, which is wrapped jalapeno and cheese fried to perfection. It also includes chicken tenders, garlic mushrooms, onion rings and fries. Another option is a fusion of Filipino cuisines such as “sisig” and “crispy pata”. Perhaps this is a perfect place for a cheat day too!
“We also have a free coke promotion. With any burger choice from our huge selection, you can enjoy a free bottle of coke,” Loughlin said.
When it comes to drinks, The Roadhouse happy hour includes beer and wine with a 30-minute happy hour period before and after all World Cup games.
The Roadhouse Macau turns into a buzzing music scene every Monday to Saturday, with live performances by world-renowned bands and local musicians.
