Good Food Guide: Café de Eu

Written by The Panda

They say a café is a place for people to drink coffee and fill the belly, but that can’t be entirely correct. For a lot of people, a café is a “spiritual gas station”. Café de Eu means “My Café” in English – it is very roomy and quiet with a strong sense of personal space. It also permeates cultural atmosphere with two big wooden bookshelves filled with a range of books.

It’s a nice place for relaxing or gathering with friends. The environment gets full marks from us, while the kitchen does a good job as well. Although the house special is the classical coffee imported from Japan, it is the British tea that we’re addicted to. Lemongrass Herb Tea with Ginger and Okinawa Cane Sugar is our favorite, while other options such as Verbena and Camomile are also very good. The homemade cakes are delicious. Try the warm soufflé cheesecake – with its slightly crisp outer layer and soft inside. The cheese has a strong taste without being greasy and is hard to resist no matter how picky you are.
