Good Food Guide: Casa de Mariscos Wa Fung

The Cantonese love “Yum Cha”. It’s a good choice whether you are having a meal alone or together with friends and family and as far as good choices go, Casa de Mariscos Wa Fung is an excellent one. The Yum Cha period lasts into the afternoon with a variety of dim sum cooked to order as well as the signature dish – Golden lava buns with a filling made of salted egg yolks, milk and sugar. The creamy and runny egg custard filling flowing out of the hot steamy bun when it is opened tastes great.

There is also a famous Cantonese style barbecue and a variety of exquisite dishes including dried seafood, casseroles and Sichuan dishes. From time to time they will launch “limited period” feature dishes such as rare commercially-available “Baked Tylorrhynchusheterochaetus” (standing grain worm).
