Good Food Guide: Don Quijote de la Mancha

Written by The Panda

One of our favorite places to visit early in the evening is Old Taipa. It was during one of our recent evening sojourns that we stumbled upon Spanish restaurant Don Quiote de la Mancha. The spacious interior features large terracotta-colored tiles, a combination of white and brick walls and various Spanish decorations adding some color. We chose a starter of Roast Potatoes in a Chilli Sauce which is the type of food we love – simple, easy to eat and delicious! Just use one of the provided toothpicks to stab a potato, scoop up some sauce and enjoy.

The main was BBQ Beef with House Sauce which came on two skewers along with pieces of onion, peppers and chorizo. The taste was nice, but we should probably have followed our instincts and ordered the beef medium-rare instead of medium because it tasted just a touch over-cooked for our liking.

Overall the food was quite enjoyable but there were many more offerings on the menu that appealed more so our suggestion is to grab a group of family and friends, head down to Old Taipa and try one of Don Quijote’s mouth-watering seafood or tapas dishes.
