Good Food Guide: Indian Garden

Written by The Panda

If there is one thing The Panda looks for in a restaurant – even just a small one – it’s an “escape” from the outside world. A restaurant should be a place to relax, forget about work or other worries and enjoy a tasty meal. That’s why Indian Garden is a great place to take a break. This quaint little venue in Taipa stands out from the crowd of other restaurants nearby with its dark wood exterior and cool vibe inside. The décor is in stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of daily Macau life and The Panda immediately felt comfortable after waddling in moments after they opened their doors for lunch.

Having eaten Indian in a number of countries around the world, a certain bear has come to love the rich spices and colors of this extravagant cuisine and ordered up a feast of Pappadums, Aloo Palak (potato dumplings) and Chicken Tikka with rice. The servings at Indian Garden are certainly generous in size and although the food is fairly simplistic it is presented well and is tasty enough for what is an inexpensive meal. Still, it is the peaceful atmosphere of this place that makes the experience a pleasant one.
