Good Food Guide: Lou Kei

Written by The Panda

Macau has many time-honoured restaurants that are household names. Using very simple ingredients, Macau’s chefs can create fantastic dishes, which become widely known. Lou Kei restaurant is a typical example of this. Simple dishes such as dry-fried rice noodles with beef congee have been Lou Kei’s signature dishes for years.

The recent development of Macau’s gaming industry has led other industries to also flourish. Lou Kei is a good example, now opening three chain restaurants in small Macau. Its main branch is at Avenida Da Concordia, another at Travessa De Inacio Sarmento De Carvalho and a third at the Venetian. Loi Kei is so well-known, you’ll even see western customers who haven’t learnt how to use chopsticks here!

We recommend all the barbecue dishes, the wonton noodle soup and shrimp roe with lo mein and leek mixed with pig’s intestine.
