Ho Tram: Natural 9

The Stallion was soaking up the sun and surf in Ho Tram when he stumbled upon The Grand’s nightclub, Club 9, and it wasn’t long before he was indulging in his favorite pastime – burning up the dancefloor!

As Macau’s most in-demand party animal, I have an insanely hectic social life and stumbling back to my bachelor pad in the early hours of the morning is pretty standard practice.

So I was ecstatic when the boss came to me recently and said, “Hey Stallion, I’m heading over to Vietnam next week to visit Ho Tram – do you want to join me?”

Even I can’t paint the town red every night of the year and with its pristine beachfront location, luxury spa, poolside cabanas, array of fine restaurants and world class golf course, Ho Tram looked like the perfect place to enjoy a well-earned rest.

Well, it seems someone forgot to tell me about Club 9! Here I was wandering back to my room after enjoying a relaxing massage when the familiar sound of a hot DJ laying down the beats permeated the air and I found myself veering off towards the lobby to find the source.

So it was that I discovered my new home for the next seven nights!

After a hard day spent lazing by the pool or a profitable few hours at the baccarat table, this upscale nightclub is the perfect place to let your hair down, grab a drink and admire some fine fillies before dancing up a storm.

Club 9 offers a little bit of everything and depending on what night of the week you’re there and how late you arrive, the entertainment can vary from pole dancers to bands to resident and guest DJs. For those of you who have partied their way across Asia, it might best be described as a cross between D2 in Macau and Republiq in Manila.

As you would expect, the action picks up the later it gets so although Club 9 is a great place for a few relaxing drinks when it opens each night at 20:00, by midnight the dance floor is pumping and the pole dancers are wowing the crowd with some of the most acrobatic feats I’ve seen in any club around the world. One theme that carries through from the rest of The Grand is the extremely friendly and attentive service. As usual there are plenty of smiling faces and whether you’re at a standing table or one of the seated tables the very attractive girls working the floor, known as the Natural 9s, will bring your drinks to you.

Club 9 is stocked with all the standard drinks you would expect and also offers nine specialty cocktails to choose from, although if you have something else in mind just give the mixologist some ideas and they’ll whip something up for you!

The sound system at Club 9 is pretty epic but I was particularly impressed with the lighting which set a really great atmosphere throughout the evening.

There is plenty to do in Ho Tram for those who like to either relax or spend some time at the gaming tables but when you need to let loose a little bit Club 9 is a great place to dance the night away.
