Indian man stabbed for stopping wife gambling

Written by Ben Blaschke

An Indian man has paid a heavy price for trying to stop his wife from gambling after she stabbed him in the side!

Mohsin Sheikh, 32, from Gujarat in India’s west, took exception when a man came to the couple’s house and invited his wife, Rakhi, to a nearby game. But his orders to stay home didn’t sit well and she stabbed him on the left flank before fleeing the house.

“Hearing Mohsin’s cry for help, neighbors rushed to his aid,” local police said. “He was rushed to Civil Hospital where he received 15 to 20 stitches. His condition is stable. The kids were sleeping in the other room when the incident took place. Based on Mohsin’s statement, a complaint was lodged against Rakhi.”

Mohsin’s sister said it wasn’t the first time Rakhi, who is yet to be located by police, had attacked him.
