Live poker community M88PokerAsia have been announced as the official title sponsor of the upcoming Vietnam Poker Cup beginning on 21 August 2015 at Ho Tram Resort Casino, it was announced late yesterday.
And in a first for poker in Asia, M88PokerAsia will be contributing an extra US$8,800 to the prize pool, all of which will go to the winner of the Main Event.
Chief Executive Officer of Ho Tram Resort Casino’s poker operations partner World Players Entertainment (WPE), Andrew W Scott, said, “We are extremely excited to have M88PokerAsia on board and to see them throw an extra US$8,800 into the Main Event prize pool. This is the first time in Asia a sponsor of a poker tournament has topped up a prize pool with cash over and above the player buy-ins and provides enormous extra incentive for the players!”
