The Macau Gaming Industry Association (MGIA) is aimed at “promoting and maintaining” the rights of everyone from gaming operators to their many staff, describing itself as “an information exchange platform that links the global gambling industry.

“It is committed to promoting the healthy development of the gaming industry in Macau; improving international competitiveness and optimization of the industry management; positively promoting the gaming industry in Macau; safeguarding the lawful rights and interests of the gaming investors and employees; and providing advice for the optimization of industry laws and regulations,” the MGIA said in a statement.

“It supports the ‘one country, two systems’ policy and the Macau SAR Government administering Macau; actively participates in social welfare activities and contributes to the social prosperity of Macau.”

The MGIA also announced the launch of a new app during the inauguration ceremony, which will provide regular news and updates about Macau’s gaming industry.
