Macau to host second Hotel Art Fair

Written by Ben Blaschke

The second 6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair will be held at Regency Art Hotel from 24 to 27 November 2016, providing a unique opportunity for 60 young artists to showcase their works.

Aimed at promoting the creative industries by bringing creativity into homely hotel rooms, it also offers a platform for cultural exchange by connecting art collectors with pieces of great potential.

The first 6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair, held in January, saw 500 individual art works sold and attracted a huge number of visitors including collectors and art enthusiasts.

The second Fair will see 39 galleries and art organisations represented, alongside artists from Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, mainland China, Korea, Myanmar and Malaysia. Their selected art works will be integrated with the hotel rooms, providing an innovative way of displaying art to stimulate more imagination and enrich the experience.

There will also be a “Special Project” sector – a collaboration between the 6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair and the China Academy of Art dedicated to one specific form of art. It will highlight the creative works of five young artists, born after 1975, in photography and video work.
