The popular Baby Dragon – one of the flagship events of the series – has attracted a record field to the PokerStars LIVE Macau room in what shapes as a hugely positive sign for this week’s Macau Poker Cup Main Event.
The HK$8,000 Baby Dragon cracked 600 starters for the very first time, with the 602 who took their seat easily beating the previous record of 575 set in September 2016. It has created a total prizepool of HK$4.2 million with the winner to collect HK$915,000.
“It’s a terrific result for the Baby Dragon and another step towards realising the thousand-player milestone,” said Mark Blake, Head of Live Events, Asia Pacific.
