Melco Crown announces staff pay rise

Written by Ben Blaschke

Melco Crown Entertainment Limited has announced pay increases for its non-management employees ranging from 2.5 percent to 7 percent, effective from 1 April 2017.

Eligible full-time employees earning a monthly income of up to MOP$16,000 will receive a pay increase of MOP$500 per month, representing an increase of 3 percent to 7 percent, while those earning more than MOP$16,000 per month will receive an increment of 2.5 percent.

Melco Crown said it is also continuing its MCE Employee Loyalty Program, first launched in 2014, which allows eligible employees to choose either a summer time payment equivalent to one month’s salary or a “Golden Nest Egg” equaling six months of pay after three years of continuous service.

“MCE cares about our employees, the best-in-class loyalty program we offer is a great example to demonstrate our appreciation for their hard work and dedication. While the market is steadily ramping up, it is yet to recover completely. Despite that, we still want to offer a competitive pay increment to our employees to express our gratitude for their support,” said Chairman and CEO, Lawrence Ho.
