Nagacorp to boost Chinese visitation

Written by Ben Blaschke

Naga Travel, the fully owned subsidiary of Nagacorp, has signed an agreement with Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism aimed at boosting Chinese tourism to the company’s NagaWorld resort in Phnom Penh.

Nagacorp said it would actively support the government’s Cambodian Overseas Tourism Promotion Board initiative, which is looking to double the number of Chinese visiting the country to 2 million by 2020.

“In partnering with the COTPB, our investment will improve the quality of tourism services and in turn enhance the appeal for Chinese tourists,” the company said in a filing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
