The who’s who of Macau’s VIP social and entertainment scenes…
Macau was awash with color in February as we welcomed in the Year of the Monkey in spectacular fashion. From the bright and wondrous decorations that covered the city to the various ceremonies snaking their way through the streets and of course the famous fireworks near Macau Tower, Chinese New Year once again arrived with a bang!
Also kicking off in early 2016 was Macau’s newest nightclub, Pacha at Studio City. One of the biggest nightlife brands on the planet following the phenomenal success of the original club in Ibiza, Pacha Macau was launched with a glitzy opening party for 2,000 guests where American superstar DJ Erick Morillo performed for the crowd!
And a new group dedicated to protecting the interests of Macau’s gaming industry was announced at an opening ceremony at Galaxy’s Ritz-Carlton. The Macau Gaming Industry Association (MGIA) is aimed at “promoting and maintaining” the rights of everyone from gaming operators to their many staff, describing itself as “an information exchange platform that links the global gambling industry.”
