WGM hits a million

Written by Pai Yao

This article first appeared in the Jul/Aug 2013 issue of World Gaming magazine.

WGM reached a momentous milestone last issue when our one millionth copy of the magazine rolled off the presses in late April. This is a wonderful achievement by the many people who have worked on the magazine and the long list of businesses who have supported us over the past four years.

WGM’s one millionth copy became part of the consignment of magazines destined for the Venetian Macau and it was with great pride that we conducted an official handover to our good friends on the Cotai Strip (pictured).

To all those who have been involved with WGM, we would like to say thank you. There have been some tough times – in those early days we often wondered if we would even print one copy of the magazine! But we never stopped believing in what we were doing and our quest to provide Macau and the whole of the Asia Pacific region with all there is to know about gaming, sport, poker and lifestyle.

We now look forward to not only reaching two million but many more million beyond that in the coming years. As far as we’re concerned, we have only just begun. In the next few months you will see some considerable improvements to our website www.wgm8.com as we bring you news, articles, tips and more every single day of the year. We will also continue to boost our social media presence in areas such as Facebook and Twitter where you can follow our every move as we continue to grow.

Of course, we haven’t forgotten the most important people of all – our readers. We couldn’t have reached a million without the support of each and every one of you who have made all this possible.

Thank you and you can rest assured that you’ll be seeing many more issues of WGM in the future!
