WGM’s Best Weekend Bets: Fri 4 to Sun 6 September

Written by Ben Blaschke

We’ll start the weekend’s action with tonight’s women’s third round clash between Madison Keys and Agnieszka Radwanska. The pair have met four times in the past with Radwanska winning all four but only one of those meetings has been inside the past two years with Radwanska winning a tight three-setter at Wimbledon.

We like the look of Keys in this one. Still just 20, she is improving all the time, hits the ball incredibly hard and at her home grand slam has a great chance of making a very, very deep run this year!

Saturday takes us to Europe for the latest round of 2016 European Cup qualifiers and we like the look of Spain to score a good win at home against Slovakia. The Spaniards might have lost their aura of invincibility in recent years but they are still a class side and we like them with a 1.5 goal handicap.

Finally it’s the last match of the 2015 NRL regular season as Canterbury host New Zealand’s Warriors. The Warriors have lost seven in a row since star halfback Shaun Johnson was injured and seem to be waiting for the season to end. They have conceded 50 points in each of their last two games and from what we can see this is likely to be very one-sided as well.

WEEKEND BETS
