We’ll start the weekend action with the NRL as Brisbane plays host to Penrith in a crucial clash for both clubs. The Broncos are riding high at the top of the Telstra Premiership ladder and we like the look of them to continue their charge against a Panthers side ravaged by injury.
Saturday sees another full round of the English Premier League getting underway and it’s the battle for survival that is most intriguing now that Chelsea have sealed the title. We love the look of Hull here at home to Burnley. Hull have impressed in recent weeks with a 1-0 win over Liverpool and a gritty 1-0 loss to Chelsea. They should be too strong for the EPL’s bottom side.
Finally it’s a clash of the big clubs on Sunday as Chelsea host Liverpool. Under normal circumstances we’d be tipping a low scoring game here given the Blues’ defensive tactics of late and Liverpool’s struggles in front of goal, however with the title decided we expect Chelsea to open up and enjoy themselves. Likewise, the Reds must win this game if they are to possibly sneak into the top four.
