For the second week in a row the best game of the round features Liverpool and for the second week in a row they face a tough away trip – this time to White Hart Lane.
Spurs were brilliant in dispatching QPR 4-0 last week while Liverpool fell 3-1 at Manchester City, but we can see the form line reversing here. The Reds beat Tottenham by a total of 9-0 last season in their two clashes and will expect a much better showing this week.
It will also be interesting to see the debut of new Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli as the Reds look to fill the gap left by the departed Luis Suarez. Manager Brendan Rodgers has taken a huge risk on the unpredictable Italian but he is a showman and could well provide a taste of what he is capable of in his return to the EPL.
