It’s time for New Zealand to host the Heineken Open tennis with what is probably the pick of all the Australian Open lead-up events this year. The field boasts the likes of Tommy Haas, John Isner, Gael Monfils, Marcos Baghdatis and Phillip Kohlschreiber but it’s hard to go past world number three David Ferrer who has won this event the past three years.
Ferrer is renowned for his relentless and deadly accurate big hitting and he clearly loves playing at this venue.
