2012-2013 Season Closing Concert – Lingering Sound
Come and celebrate the finale of the Macao Orchestra’s 10th concert season with Music Director Lü Jia and pianist Chen Sa who is regarded as one of the top three leading Chinese pianists of her generation. Noted for matching “virtuosity with poetry” and her unabashed “heart and soul of an artist”, Chen’s interpretation of Beethoven’s nuanced and poetic Piano Concerto No. 4, alongside the Macao Orchestra’s performance of one of Mozart’s last opera overtures and Tchaikovsky’s intensely emotional final symphony, is the must-see finale of the season!

China Continental – Taiwan – Macau – Fine Food Show 2013
It’s a comprehensive exhibition from Taiwan, China Continental and Macao specialty foods including baking, food, souvenirs, drinks, tea and coffee. The 120 exhibitors includes 80 exhibitors from Taiwan and will bring Taiwan’s agricultural products as well as famous souvenirs including pineapple cakes, sun cakes, fruits and a famous Taiwanese snacks booth. FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Macau 2013
The opening week of the 2013 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix sees four teams visit Macau as they prepare to battle it out for a spot in the finals. This year’s Grand Prix sees 20 teams taking part for the first time ever with China, Cuba, the Netherlands and Bulgaria competing in Macau this week while the other 16 teams play in Brazil, Turkey, Italy and the Dominican Republic. First held in 1993, the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Macau is a great chance to see some of the world’s most exciting players.

The 2013 Guangdong and Macao Branded Products Fair
As an important platform for economic and trade co-operation, the 2013 Guangdong and Macao Branded Products Fair (2013 GMBPF) showcases branded products from the two regions and creates business opportunities for enterprises through a series of activities, including business matching sessions, negotiations and economic and trade presentations. The GMBPF has been successfully held over the past four years and has attracted a large number of visitors each year. Last year’s event attracted 136,000 visitors.

Taipa Flea Market is easily accessible from Taipa High Street and comprises dozens of stalls selling hundreds of fascinating items! Crossroads .Another Dimension
Crossroads .Another Dimension. This Cross-Strait Four-Regions Artistic Exchange Project brings together 16 artists from Shenzhen, Macau, Kaohsiung and Hong Kong in a touring exhibition of the four cities. The theme refers to the constant flow and transfiguration of the existence and creation space of the artists, along with the globalization and the reality of the cross-strait and four regions.

Memories of Rice Paper – A Retrospective of Chui Tak Kei’s Artworks exhibition

The Glorious Era of Julius Caesar – Military Science and Technology in Roman Republic
This exhibition will showcase more than 100 interactive models and replicas of inventions and machines reconstructed by the expert artisans from Florence, Italy, including ancient weaponry, military accessories of the Roman army, ancient construction and surveying tools, maps and daily utensils. Fantasy World – Chinoiserie
Europe has long held a fascination with Chinese culture, dating back as far as the Ming dynasty when missionaries brought Chinese philosophy, art, religion, science and technology back home with them. Dubbed Chinoiserie, this fashion permeated many facets of European life. This exhibition traces the origins of Chinoiserie and its influence in France with over 80 valuable items including paintings, prints, ceramics and tapestries.
