The prestigious National Ballet of China is celebrating the 1964 debut performance of The Red Detachment of Women by staging this original, well-known Chinese classical ballet once again in major cities throughout mainland China. Over the past five decades, the National Ballet of China has staged nearly 4,000 performances of The Red Detachment of Women across mainland China and in over 20 foreign countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Denmark, Israel, France and Italy, contributing to the international reputation of the talented troupe.
