Champagne for Gypsies brings Goran Bregovic and the Wedding and Funeral Orchestra to town for a celebration of life, with raucous Balkan rhythms, ethnic percussion and European classicism. Bregovic’s music makes everyone want to dance and party, merging the mysteries of Bulgarian voices with the solemn chants of an orthodox male choir and adding the sounds of an electric guitar and ethnic percussion to a string section in a dazzling journey through European traditions.
