What's on tonight: Friday 3 May

Written by Ben Blaschke

The 24th Macao Arts Festival kicks off with Drought and Rain – a contemporary dance work by renowned French director, choreographer and performance artist Ea Sola. This ballet is extraordinary in that none of the performers are previously trained dancers. The dozen women on stage, aged between 55 and 75, are singers who once performed to comfort soldiers in the Vietnam War.
