The Macao Museum present Fantasy World – Chinoiserie, an exhibition tracing the origins of Chinoiserie and its influence in France with over 80 valuable items including paintings, prints, ceramics and tapestries. Europe has long held a fascination with Chinese culture, dating back as far as the Ming dynasty when missionaries brought Chinese philosophy, art, religion, science and technology back home with them.
