In recent years a Korean influence has been sweeping across Macau and you can see Korean restaurants and Korean clothes shops on almost every block. One of the newest is Nun Korean Desserts. There are a wide variety of desserts on the menu, with snow milk the main item.
Snow milk is basically milk frozen into ice and then crushed. It has a strong flavor of milk. We ordered Korean Strawberry Sherbet, Korean Honeydew Snow Milk and Deep-Fried Chicken with Korean BBQ Sauce. Pink Angel, as the name suggests, is all pink.
The snow milk is fully covered with strawberries and there are two ice cream balls on top. The taste of milk and the sweet and sour strawberries is a good match. However, the melon flavor snow milk is a bit disappointing. The melon isn’t sweet enough, so I could only taste the snow milk.
As for the snacks, I tried the fried chicken. The frying powder on the surface of the chicken cubes isn’t crispy enough, but the sauce is quite nice. Overall, this new attempt at Korean desserts is fair to medium in taste with room to improve, but the price is a little bit high. If you want a feeling of freshness, there is no harm in giving it a go.
