APT Manila starts today

The Asian Poker Tour returns to the Philippines today for APT Manila 2015 with all eyes on Sam Razavi’s charge towards a record fourth consecutive APT Player of the Year (POY) title.

The 35-year-old Englishman, who resides in the Philippines, has stormed into the lead once again on the back of an incredible recent run that included four side event victories at APT Cebu in August. He has now won seven events on this year’s tour and finished in the money on 19 separate occasions to move to 2369.5 points in the POY race – well ahead of Iori Yogo in second with 1664.8.

Hosted by Resorts World Manila, APT Manila will offer no shortage of opportunities for Razavi to add to his title tally with 15 events on the schedule. The Main Event gets underway on Friday.

The APT’s very first event was held in Manila in 2008.
