Big weekend for Macau music fans

Written by Ben Blaschke

Macau welcomes two huge international acts to her shores tomorrow night with global EDM sensation Skrillex and legendary rock duo Air Supply performing separate shows in Cotai.

Skrillex will mark the opening of legendary nightclub Pacha at Studio City with his unique brand of dance music which is certain to have the venue’s 1,000 square feet of space pumping through the night.

The American DJ is credited with playing a major role in the recent explosion of electronic dance music (EDM) with his punk rock infusions creating a global sensation thanks to hits like his 2011 EP “Bangarang”.

But if dance isn’t your thing, Australian rock duo Air Supply will provide a more soothing experience when they step out at The Venetian Theatre for the first time.

Famous for their epic love songs such as “Without You”, “That’s the Power of Love” and “Lost in Love”, Air Supply are celebrating their 40th year in 2015 with a career that has included eight Top Ten hits in the US alone.

So whether you like to dance the night away or sit back and soak up some melodies, Macau has something for everyone this weekend.
